Mobile Responder
We are seeking a compassionate Mobile Responder to deliver urgent care and telecare support, helping people remain safe and independent in their own homes.
Position: Mobile Responder
Salary: £13.47 to £13.90 per hour plus 10% unsocial hours enhancement
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Hours: Part time, 15 to 22.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing, applications reviewed weekly
About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will respond to urgent care calls and telecare alerts across the community. You will provide timely, practical and emotional support to individuals, helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling people to remain safely in their own homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to urgent care and telecare alerts in a timely manner
- Providing personal care and practical support as required
- Preparing meals and supporting with daily living tasks
- Offering reassurance and emergency assistance
- Travelling across the local area to support service users
- Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
About you
You will be a caring, reliable and adaptable individual who is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
You will have:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A compassionate and empathetic approach
- An understanding of the needs of older people and or individuals with disabilities
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding and community care
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts including unsocial hours
Desirable:
- Previous experience providing care and support in a community or residential setting
No formal qualifications are required as training and support to complete the Care Certificate will be provided.
