We are seeking compassionate and reliable Female Care Support Workers to support people to live independently at home across the Consett area.

Position: Female Care Support Worker
Location: Consett, County Durham
Salary: £12.71 - £14.19 per hour
Hours: Part time and flexible hours available
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a community-focused home care team supporting people to live well in their own homes. The organisation is looking for caring and dependable individuals who want to make a genuine difference in their local community.

No previous care experience is required as full training and ongoing support will be provided. The role involves visiting people in their homes to provide practical and emotional support that helps them maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Responsibilities can include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Supporting with daily routines and household tasks
  • Helping people access the community and attend appointments
  • Building positive relationships with the people you support
  • Working collaboratively as part of a supportive local team

Shifts are typically delivered in 5-hour blocks, with morning and evening shifts available. Applicants must be able to work alternate weekends.

About You

The organisation is looking for people with warmth, kindness and a strong sense of community. Experience in care is welcome but not essential.

You will need:

  • A caring, respectful and compassionate approach
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK
  • To live within approximately 5-10 miles of Consett
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and a willingness to learn
