We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join a specialist mental health service, supporting individuals on their recovery journey and helping them build confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary: £31,249 per annum
Location: South East London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary clinical team within a specialist mental health setting. You will play a key role in delivering person-centred occupational therapy interventions that support recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing individual treatment plans

Delivering therapeutic interventions on both a one-to-one and group basis

Facilitating therapeutic groups and supporting structured activity programmes

Preparing clinical reports and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings

Working collaboratively with colleagues to support high-quality patient care

Providing supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants where appropriate

Building positive relationships with patients, families, carers, and professionals

Ensuring practice complies with professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Maintaining a high level of direct clinical practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A recognised degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy

Current HCPC registration
-
Strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills

Experience within mental health services, ideally including eating disorder services
-
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
-
A compassionate and recovery-focused approach to supporting individuals
