Clinical Practice Facilitator
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead clinical education and support workforce development within a specialist palliative care setting.
Position: Clinical Practice Facilitator
Salary: £30,054.42 to £37,480 per annum pro rata
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Hours: 30 hours per week, part time
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 24 May 2026
About the Role
This is a key role focused on designing, delivering and embedding high quality clinical education across clinical services. You will play a vital part in ensuring teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver outstanding palliative and end of life care.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of an evidence based clinical education programme
- Identify learning needs and implement targeted education interventions
- Deliver engaging teaching sessions to a range of learners
- Support clinical leads and champions to facilitate their own learning sessions
- Promote reflective practice, clinical supervision and learning from incidents
- Support staff to develop clinical competence and confidence in day to day practice
The role is primarily office hours, Monday to Friday, with some expectation to undertake clinical shifts to maintain clinical credibility.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong clinical experience alongside a passion for education and development.
You will have:
- Qualification as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience in end of life care within a healthcare setting
- Experience in clinical education, supervision and assessment
- Strong communication, organisation and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi disciplinary team
